About Us
CMSO (Community Medical Service Organization) club strives to achieve the UN SDG Goal #3: Good Health and Well-Being. As the global pandemic is slowly coming to an end, a lot of people’s cautiousness about health and wellbeing has been declining. In order to help solve this issue, we are planning to share the knowledge that we will gain through various self-conducted research.

In the next 12 months, our club would have achieved the main goal of gaining and sharing knowledge of different medical fields. This will be done through the club members relegating themselves to specific medical biology fields and creating different media that educates students on that learned knowledge. After about 3 repetition of this work—one cycle of this research will take about a month—with the gathered information, the whole team or as separate teams, the students will create a book or a video to be sent to a welfare center. Because welfare centers like orphanages don't provide the students enough knowledge in the medical field, it would be meaningful for our members to create a simple media for the people in need to learn from. The process of sending these media to the students would be repeated 3 times for the next 12 months. Each time the medical field of investigation and the type of media used to send would be different from the last time. Also, the audience to teach the medical field we have researched would be different each time; For instance, it can be our school’s younger students or orphans or even elderlies. When all the members are pretty much aware of the field of medical biology, we will actually adapt this into real life. We will teach village/middle school students about how to do a CPR, how to deal with sports injuries, and much more. Additionally, we aim to go to at least 5 volunteer sessions throughout the whole school year.

Our Mission
CMSO (Community Medical Service Organization) club strives to achieve the UN SDG Goal #3: Good Health and Well-Being. As the global pandemic is slowly coming to an end, a lot of people’s cautiousness about health and wellbeing has been declining. In order to help solve this issue, we are planning to share the knowledge that we will gain through various self-conducted research. We will separate our club members into several groups where they can focus on different topics, such as the function of different organs in the body, how to deal with sports injuries, and much more. They will research about a single topic throughout the month and we will give them the opportunity to present this every month. This will be posted on youtube or the club website for the school community and people outside of the school community to learn more about good health and well being. Our club members will also have the opportunity to earn a certificate for CPR, which they can later on apply this skill in real life and even educate village school students. Based on the different skills and knowledge gained by different researchers, we will utilize this skill when we go for volunteers and other activities.
Compared to other existing clubs, our club aims to expand on the preexisting knowledge to dive into areas of interest that we are not familiar with. Some preexisting clubs covering the topic of biology centers on participating in competitions and projects. However, we are trying to start from the basics of medical biology and expand the areas we can participate in.
Our Vision
We have three main purposes outlined for this club. Firstly, we will gain knowledge as club members. By using different reliable sources, we can fill up the basic background information in relation to medical biology. For example, we would support our club members to get a certificate on CPR. Also every week/month, students will have the opportunity to research about different topics covering the field of medical biology and present in front of the other club members. As a whole, we aim to expand our knowledge within the field of our interest. Then, we will use that knowledge gained to help younger students learn without economic burden. By connecting with multiple organizations or orphanages, we will give free of charge online lessons on biology. Along with this, we will record down our findings in a monthly journal/report, keeping a record of the information that we have obtained. This will help us keep track of what we have accumulated so far, motivating ourselves and others to continue on the journey of learning. Not only will we educate others, but we will also volunteer in hospitals, nursing homes, and much more to apply our knowledge and interest in real life. Through these volunteer opportunities, students who are interested in this field will be able to contribute to the medical society and acquire real life experiences.
